How to find your camera and microphone settings in Safari, Chrome & Firefox on your phone

Safari on iPhone

  • Launch 'Settings' from your Home screen.

  • Scroll down and Tap 'Safari'.

  • Scroll down to the 'Settings for Websites' section 

  • Tap the switch next to 'Camera' and ensure 'Ask' or  'Allow' is ticked.

  • Go back and tap 'Microphone' and repeat as per 'Camera'

Chrome on Samsung

  • Tap 'Settings' by swiping down from the top and click the cog icon

  • Tap 'Apps'

  • Scroll down to 'Chrome' and tap

  • Scroll down to 'Permissions' (under 'App settings')

  • Turn the switch to on for 'Camera' and 'Microphone'

  • Go back to the Home screen

  • Open Chrome and tap the menu at the top right (the three dots).

  • Choose Settings.

  • Scroll down to the Advanced section.

  • Tap  'Site settings'.

  • Select the Camera and ensure switch is on

  • Go back, select 'Microphone' and ensure switch is on

Firefox on Samsung

  • Tap 'Settings' by swiping down from the top and click the cog icon

  • Tap 'Apps'

  • Scroll down to 'Chrome' and tap

  • Scroll down to 'Permissions' (under 'App settings')

  • Turn the switch to on for 'Camera' and 'Microphone'

Note:  the video defaults to the back-facing camera, ensure you choose the front-facing camera from the dropdown.
