Entering the studio
You can access the Blinder Studio in two ways. Directly from the dashboard by using the 'Quick Edit' function or by clicking the relevant file on your call details page.
Quick Edit
Click the edit button on the call, a pop-up will appear where you can choose which files you would like to edit.
Edit from the call library
Once the file is open you will see your video and there will be a single layer (yellow line).
What's in the Studio
Our new Chocco studio is full screen and uses the left and right panels for adding images and texts.
Recordings - This will show you the file you are editing. (Multiple file editing is coming soon).
Assets - This is where your images are stored and uploaded to. This is also where you go to add images to your video.
Text - This is where you can automatically add names to your video or any other text. It also contains preset text functions such as headings and subheadings.
Image and text tools
Upload an image and add it to your video
When you first open the assets library there will be an image there. This is an overlay that you can use to play around with and try out the studio.
Click 'Assets' to open.
Upload a file by drag and drop or using the upload file icon.
Once the image has been uploaded and you click on it, a '+' symbol will appear, click this to add it to your video. It will appear as a layer in your timeline.
Note: You can't have duplicate image names.
Delete an image from the assets library
To delete an image, hover the mouse over the file and click the trash icon.
Adding Text to your video
When you open the 'Text' tool, some preset buttons are available to you.
Add Names - this automatically adds your participants' names to the video.
Add a heading, Add a sub-heading, and Add body text - these are preset types of text.
All of the above are editable. Once you add text to your file the text attributes panel opens on the right. This is where you can change the font family, size, text colour, background shape and background colour. You will see your text as a layer in the timeline.

Layers
Duplicate/Delete a layer
You can delete or duplicate layers by clicking on the relevant layer. The duplicate and delete buttons will become active. Click the relevant button to action.
Changing the duration of the layers ("trimming")
Select the layer by clicking on it. Once selected, a blue bounding box with scaling pins and the time will appear. Click and drag a scaling pin to change the layer’s size.
Working with multiple layers
The layers are arranged as they appear in the editor timeline, with the recorded video on the bottom and subsequent layers stacking in order. If you need to re-order layers in the video editor, delete them from the timeline and re-add them in the correct order.
Each layer can also be trimmed with unique start and endpoints. Therefore, you can have separate image layers appear at different times, or overlap through the sequence. However, the final video length will be based on the video layer (the yellow layer) start and endpoints.
Finish editing and create your new clip file
Once you have finished editing your video in Blinder Studio, click the “Finish” button in the upper right of the page to begin processing the new video clip.
When you click 'Finish', a popup will appear where you can name your file. Click 'Create'. You will then be redirected to your dashboard.
When your file is ready it will be directly underneath the original file.
